How Jump Counts and Totals Are Calculated

JumpTracker Pro shows counts and earnings on the dashboard, in the Summary page and on invoices. They come from a few simple rules. Once you know them, the numbers make sense.

Service types decide what counts as a jump

Section titled “Service types decide what counts as a jump”

Every service you set up has a service type:

Service type What it is Counts as a jump?
Jump A core skydiving service, such as a tandem or an AFF jump Yes
Jump modifier An add-on to a jump, such as a video or photo package No
Pack job Packing a parachute No, it is counted separately as pack jobs
Other Anything else you want to track No

Jump modifiers exist so that a tandem with a handcam video is one jump, not two. The add-on still earns money, but it does not add to your jump count.

  • Jump count: only services of type Jump.
  • Service counts: every service you logged, whatever its type.
  • Earnings: the payment amount of every service, whatever its type. A video add-on raises your earnings but not your jump count.
  • Tips: not included in category or service totals. Tips are recorded per work day, not per jump.

Why tips and hours show a dash on some tabs

Section titled “Why tips and hours show a dash on some tabs”

On the Summary page, tips and hours appear only on the All Services tab. Paid Services and Pending Services show a dash for them. Tips and hours belong to a work session (one per day), not to an individual service, so they have no paid or pending status.

Invoices group your work by category first (for example Tandem), then by service inside it. Each category also shows a per-location breakdown. Categories and services appear in the order you set in your settings.

Category totals and location totals always add up to the same overall figure.
